You cannot see anything but the hedgerow. At the gate, there is a description but only in Italian. Gate is closed, no opening times indicated. Disappointing, esp. compared to its historical significance.
This place is a private property, you have to ask the owners and make appointment if they are OK with you visiting.
Though beautiful piece of history!
Historically Significant. The Armistice of Villa Giusti ended warfare between Italy and Austria-Hungary on the Italian Front during World War I. The armistice was signed on 3 November 1918 and took effect 24 hours later. (Wikipedia Source)
Great spot
Nice place
Bridge town
I had lunch yesterday with a fixed menu with friends: we spent 13 euros each. . .exceptional value for money
We had radicchio pie, some chickpea soup and second course, some chicken nuggets with mushrooms, some roasted herbs and artichokes
All dishes artfully cooked by restaurateurs with decades of experience. Very friendly service,
elegant environment to return
History was made in this place, the armistice between the Kingdom of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire was signed here, which laid the foundations for the end of the First World War.
The villa is still inhabited by the current owners who look after it very well and give the opportunity to visit it.
The guide was very good at explaining the history of the villa and all the details of those days between October 31st and November 3rd 1918.
To visit.
